That sounds like it would be a home run for you. You should try and get it started at the next meetup!

Here's something about the game I play with two other trans friends. I think I've talked about playing the game with Maria before. It's a collaborative RPG where you both play your character and create the world they live in and the perils they have to overcome.
My character is a young princess called Penelo. She is quick, agile and graceful. She uses that speed to fight with a staff. She can also captivate an audience with her dancing prowess. She comes from a long line of heroes and is eager to prove herself as one herself. She is the youngest grandchild and feels overshadowed by her older siblings and cousins.
She has recently been given an important mission from her grandmother, the elderly Queen. She is joined by two other adventurers, who both have important tasks of their own. They've only just got together so haven't formed friendships or full trust yet. My character has doubts about the capabilities of one, thinking that they cause more trouble than they solve. She doubts the other's true intentions, and that they're more interested in her title and the influence that brings, rather than her as a person. She's starting to think she's been sidetracked from her important task.
I think that she would feel a bit isolated and uncertain. The other two are noticeably older than her and come from very different backgrounds to her. The jokes about her being a pampered princess aren't funny anymore. She needs a bit of lifting up, as do I. I also think our game needs a bit of light relief too. You can have animal companions, the other two have them, so I'm giving her a pet to act as a comfort. An animal to hug and play with, that she can 100% trust. Mechanically in the game she will be able to Endure Stress more easily. I could just give her a dog, but wanted something more fantastical, so I'm giving her a creature from Final Fantasy that has been a pet. It doesn't fit the world we created at all,but that's the point. It'll be a source of fun for both my character and myself, and hopefully my two friends.

Are you talking about the little guys you ride in FF? I can’t remember their names but I know about them.

I wrote a cutscene for my character, Penelo this week. It was a conversation between her and her mother, who plaited her hair while it went on.I wanted to let the other two know where her head was at just before our current situation had happened. That was the first I shared any of my fiction with anyone since school. They both really liked it and so gave me some nice comments about it. It wasn't anything I needed to do for the game, I just a felt a desire to do it.

I'm also doing some stuff with my DnD character The campaign is taking a very long time to startso I'm doing little bits and pieces with her instead. She is a blue-skinned Bard, with Genie ancestry from centuries ago. As she is blue with white hair, I've decided that pink and white would be appropriate as it means she has the trans flag colours as part of her natural look. I've created a board on Pinterest for potential outfits. Bard outfits
I've also decided that her apart from the colouring, that she will look like Winter from Aespa. I'll likely also give her a similar personality. She is very introverted IRL, and looks cute and adorable. She is often compared with a puppy or a hamster. However when she performs she is like a totally different person, exuding whatever emotions are needed for the song, and so can appear cold and aloof, or hot and charismatic. Her appearance changes in a similar way. I thought it would be a change from the trope of the extroverted bard who always has the charm switched on. A reminder that the on-stage persona is a skilled performance and not necessarily their default state.

I wish it would start soon, but that won't be happening. I asked our DM, and she said she'll be too busy to finish her preparations for the game. I would think December at the earliest, but more likely in the New Year.

She is 21 and enjoying a social life appropriate for her age. She's also going out with one of the other trans nerd girls, which also keeps her occupied. On top of that she is involved in 5 or 6 other DnD campaigns.
