I splurged yesterday and treated myself to a VR headset. Not a very high end one, as I don't need loads of processing power for gaming or anything. More because the idea of being able to watch concerts and things as if you were actually there seemed quite fun.
Anyway, after using it for little while, a thought occurred to me. A bit of searching on YouTube later and I found an Actimel advert (of all things) where it is in full 360 3D, but from the perspective of a woman. You start outside a building overlooking a pool, then walk over to the pool and finally it ends with you lying on a sun lounger.
I must have watched it 10 times or so in a row. Being full VR, as your head moves it changes the field of vision, so it really is like you are inhabiting the body in the video. And of course, looking down while walking, or looking ahead while on the lounger, you see that body. And it's the RIGHT type of body. And it really, really did feel so right seeing it.
The downside of course is that when I them came back to the "real" world, I was even more aware of the differences between how I actually look and how I wish I looked than ever. Which... wasn't fun. But yeah, I think any small remaining doubts that I had about "would this be something that I REALLY want" vanished forever and completely in those moments.

That's a really interesting experience that you had there. Good that you had that confirmation of it feeling the right thing and really being what you want.
A lot can be gained through theorising and thinking about it, but it's the experiences like that one which can really confirm feelings and make big breakthroughs. When I was making those big steps in the early part of my journey, it was my natural unfiltered reactions to which I paid most attention. It was the strong emotions that I felt that provided me the best evidence in working out who I really was.

Hi, very interesting. When I watched ready player one I thought about the gender change and living it with a real VR. I dreamed often of what VR can bring us as trans. I’m happy you had this experience even if the comeback in reality is quite difficult.p see

That is a very interesting idea and I had never thought about that possibility before. I am surprised there aren't more programs specifically created for girls like us. Seems like a missed opportunity.
I'd imagine there are genetic girls who would like to see a different body when they look down sometimes too.
