I thought I would create a thread where we can share our inspirational figures. Transgender success stories that we follow and appreciate. My biggest and most favorite is probably Kayla Autumn Ward. Kayla's instagram is below. www.instagram.com/kaylaautumnward/?hl=enI basically live my trans life vicariously through her. Shes a great follow. Do you all have any trans inspiration?

I can certainly see why she's your favourite given your love of female athletes. She looks absolutely amazing. Makes me wish I was 30 years younger, and not for the reason most men my age would have Oh to look like that, goodness. Beautiful transwomen like her really hit me with a triple whammy - not only wanting to be with them, but to be them, with the knowledge that they were born into male bodies like I was. It's very early days for me, so I don't really have myself yet. Once I've worked through this initial stage, I expect I'll find some soon enough

My biggest is probably Laura Jane Grace, from the band Against Me. A lot of which is down to her being a musician like myself, and also the fact that she was key to my realising I am trans in the first place. I went to an Against Me show in London back in 2016 with a friend who loved them. I knew that she had come out as trans a few years prior, but apart from that I knew nothing about them, other than that they played punk which wasn't really my thing. While they were playing I realised I felt incredibly jealous of her. To begin with I thought it was because they were playing to a bigger audience than I usually would (also I'd been out the music scene a while at that point, had recently got back into it, but had yet to gig again, so maybe just the fact they were playing a show at all!) But by the end of the show the internal walls had started to crumble and I had realised why I REALLY felt that way. I bought her autobiography the next day, read through it in record time as it resonated so much for me, and... well here I am nearly 5 years later š

She plays basketball and is a strong open advocate of trans rights. Shes definitely killing this trans thing for sure. Beautiful lady and a great role model.

I think I first read about her in a story in Rolling Stone. Great example of an awesome trans role model.
