Alright, so sports might not be this group's thing. What about video games?
I am a big Nintendo gal. I have a Switch and own about 30ish games on it. I like retro style 2D platformers (like Rayman and Cuphead) and sort of open world adventures (like Zelda and Mario) the most, as well as those first person style sort of story/adventure games (like Firewatch).
What games do you all like to play?

I have always had a soft spot for Nintendo, and thought about getting a Switch a while back, but the games are just so expensive, even second hand! I do have a DS-XL though (mostly for playing Pokemon lol).
I did treat myself and got an Xbox 1 at the beginning of this year though. The games that I am best at are racers - Gran Turismo on the PS3 and Forza on the Xbox. I'm pretty awful at most other types of game though lol. Especially where shooting is involved. I quite liked Skyrim (especially when I restarted it, as it was the first time I think I had made my character in a game female), and story-based games. Which reminds me, it's been a few years since I played through Final Fantasy VII... I've recently started Black Desert on Xbox.
Despite everything I've just said though, the game I've played most of the Xbox is CoD Warzone. I'd never played a CoD game before it, but some of my friends got really into it and encouraged me to join their team. And then for some reason didn't kick me off when they realised that I die about 10 times for every kill I get lol.

Lol, Maria I don't think I have played a single game you've mentioned. Including Pokemon which is like the one Nintendo franchise I don't play. Although we do have an XBox my wife plays that more than me. She was the Mass Effect fan and she is the one trying to get me to play it. So we recently started it with me playing it. I think she raised her eyes a bit when I decided to play as a woman, but I just told her, truthfully, that action games are more unique and fun when the main character is female.

Mass Effect was one that I looked into when I was deciding on a new game to start on Xbox. I think I went for Black Desert because it sounded a bit more chilled out, like the reviews said you could just create a farm and play the game that way, so there was more scope for choosing how you wanted to play. As someone who isn't very talented at games, the ability to play without worrying what was about to come around the corner and kill me felt appealing. You haven't played FF VII The graphics are very dated now, and the turn-based combat might not appeal to everyone, but it is 100% my favourite game that I've ever played. It's the only game that I've finished and then replayed. If you've got an Xbox, you can get it on the Xbox store (hint... nudge... )

Huge game nerd here. Though I have a limited range of games I like to play, I play them a lot. All these are RPGs of one kind or another. I enjoyed playing Mass Effect I & II, but by the time ME3 came out I found that the fast-paced combat action was too much for me. It overloaded my brain too much, leaving me too stressed. Other western RPGs I've played and enjoyed are the Elders Scrolls - Oblivion and Skyrim; and all the main Dragon Age releases. I've liked the main Fallout series too, love playing 3, 4 and New Vegas too. You can bet your life I played as a female character in all of those. I always choose the female romance options, but out of curiosity have romanced male characters in Dragon Age I & II. Got to say that I didn't hear violins playing in the background for those romances, but 100% did when my characters romanced the women. I particularly liked the romantic plotlines for Dragon Age Inquisition. I love J-RPGs too, or rather those by Square Enix. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Octopath Traveler. I love these so much, I played FF IV - XIII. A few of the Dragon Quest, DQ VIII and XI are two of my all-time favourite games. My love of those two franchises are each worth a separate thread, and I can definitely draw upon themes of gender identity there too. Octopath Traveler is only a recent addition to their roster, but I loved it a great deal too. As with all of these games it has an amazing soundtrack. I don't play many other games now. I used to play Pro Evolution Soccer, myself and some of my friends even set up a tournament. I even bought the trophy and had it engraved with its name the Bawbag Cup. Maria, I see you loved FF VII, I played it too late I think to truly appreciate it, by the time I played it I found the old graphics too jarring. I finished the game but hardly did any of the side quests. I didn't hate it but I never quite connected with it either. I tried the demo for the remake, but my brain got too overloaded in the boss battle. One of my favourites in the franchise is FFX-2, the one where the party consists of three confident hot women, that get to magically transform their outfits mid-combat. I wonder why was that was my favourite? xox, Woori-Mei

I did get Fallout 4 when I got my Xbox, however I got stuck fairly quickly as it is shooting-based combat and I have no ability to aim whatsoever. I will try it again at some point though - hopefully having been dragged into Warzone so much that will have done something at least to improve my abilities lol! I think that is why the turn-based aspect of FF VII appealed - it gave me time to think about what I wanted to do, rather than needing to be good at aiming or strategizing in real-time. I will have to have a look at some of those other games that you mentioned. I did have FF XIII for the PS3, but got to a point where despite never running from a fight, and having my characters levelled and developed as much as I could, there was a specific battle that I just could not get past. Which was quite disheartening, as I was really enjoying the game up until that point.
The first time I played it, it was one of the first games I played, so the graphics didn't bother me at all (because I didn't know any better). I must confess that on that first playthrough, as I didn't know what I was doing, I did complete a large portion of the game by following a walkthrough (I now avoid them if at all possible), which steered you on the quickest path from start to finish, so I probably did none of the side quests! In subsequent playthroughs though, I've always tried to explore more, and experience all that the game has to offer.

I tend to play melee and unarmed builds in most games, because I always have the need to close in on my opponent, I have no interest in aiming and taking cover. At least Fallout has the VATS system that does the aiming for you some of the time.
I love the JRPGs exactly because they are turned based, I was never any good at racing games or 1st-person shooters, and also didn't find them particularly enjoyable anyway. Turn based combat is just my pace, and of course they have all these other amazingly crafted elements too - the story, the characters both their personality and design, the world building and the soundtrack.
I forgot to say that I love some fighting games, Soulcalibur is my favourite. However it is very much the case I love these because I love being the women in them. There is a terrific amount of costume customisation for the characters, so I get to play dress up with them too. Rather like you mention Maria, how was I missing all these signs?

I think I always liked racing games because I have quite a competitive nature. Fighting games always felt too violent, and the sports that typically crop up in games tend to be the ones that I'm not that interested in. But with racers I can compete against other people, AI, or even myself in a time trial. I find those quite relaxing actually - just looping round a track over and over. With FPS games, I must admit I do quite like Warzone (although I think a lot of that is the social aspect of chatting to people I know while playing). I used to like Counter Strike for much the same reason. My main issue with a lot of them (besides being bad at them) is that I am one of those people who can actually get motion sickness triggered by the graphics on screen. I know! I've reached a point where I don't know what amazes me more - the amount of stuff my brain managed to keep hidden from me for so long, or amount of stuff that it didn't manage to hide and that I still somehow never spotted.

Hi, I play video games for many years, since the playstation 1 and tomb raider. I loved being a female hero. And It was the same thing for the last tomb raiders. I finished them all on xbox one. I played to JRPG all the FF. I loved the 7, but the 9th was very goof in my opinion. The 10 2 with the girls team was irresistible and the 13 with lightning. Dragon quest also, I just finished the 11, and I want to be Jade, not the hero, definitely. In the 8, my eyes were always on Jessica. Now ad’s chloé my puff puff is very powerful. Each time I played a game I choose the female character. A girl in Skyrim same thing in TESO (start of problems with my wife), even in golf games on nintendo. I wanted to wear skirts and having boobs, even if in golf it’s more a problem than an help. Same thing in diablo, always a woman, in the third the demon skayer weard high heels boots, so sexy. I identify everytime as the female character, and I say ALWAYS, it was a sign I think. But my wife saw this sign, unfortunately. Even on forza, always a girl, classical forza and horizon. When I played TESO. I designed my character as chloé, I let you imagining… I was looking for frinds to play with and presented myself as a girl not to cheat but to be taken as who I’m really. Even my avatar on Xbox is a girl, lara croft. If you remember on my chloé’s life thread, there is a photo of me with a green tank top. Lara after pregnancies. It was right. when I played the witcher games, I wanted to be a sorceress or rather Ciri. My wife loved Geralt, I speak about the game and books not the movies. It’s the only thing I miss in the game no female character. and now dead or alive and soulcalibur for the women and their assets, but never as « « she is sexy I want her », as a basic male but « she is sexy I want to be her ». Moreover, the clothes are far mor interesting when we want to change.I think I’m a nerd, a girl nerd. My wife knows it and tell me often That I’m totally geek, she just don’t know, that I’m a girly geek. Next week I will be alone at home. I think I will play TESO as a girl and wear in the same time my girly clothes, and I will create my character in the last soulcalibur. do you remember ADD game, baldur’s gate? The youngest can’t I think, it’s very old. There was a mythical accessory, the gender change belt. What do you think, I found it and use it. One of my first tg feeling, so strong in my mind. video game can be a place to meet.

The youngest can’t I think, it’s very old. There was a mythical accessory, the gender change belt. What do you think, I found it and use it. One of my first tg feeling, so strong in my mind. video game can be a place to meet. OMG Chloe, we have so much in common! LOL You love FFX-2 and DQ XI too. I am so happy about that. Jade is amazing but I lean more towards Serena. More the type of woman I'd wish to be, Jade just seems too unobtainable to either be or to date. I'd prefer to wear Serena's outfits rather than Jade's too. If you're Jade, and I'm Serena, which of us all is Veronica? I think though I wouldn't mind being Queen Frysabel of Sniflheim (the cute blonde queen with the glasses), you would make a very good Krystalinda (the ice witch with boobs that rival yours) You'd put all the Puff-Puff Girls to shame Chloe! You need to put yourself into a bunny girl outfit. FF9 is very good, but again the same with FF7 it came a bit too late. I started with FF10 and worked my way back. I think in 10 I identified more as Rikku more than anyone else, or perhaps I just thought she'd be a really fun friend to have, all the others were a bit too serious. You'd look great as Lulu, Chloe, you certainly have the figure for it. I like 12 a lot as well, and often have played just using the 3 female characters for my playthrough The lack of a playable female character put me off playing the Witcher. I simply had/have no interest in playing as a muscular macho man. The same applies to all games. For Soulcalibur I'll confess that is very much both that I'd like to date them as well as being them. The latest game has good character creation options too. You won't be surprised to learn that I made someone like Mei from Overwatch. Cute, chubby with a bit of a tummy and wearing glasses too. She was far and away the favourite of my creations. I preferred her to all the main cast too. Baldur's Gate yes I've played the remaster last year. Mentioning that girdle reminded me, I played the original version years ago, I remember how fascinated I was with it, the idea of it not quite turning me on but captivating me. I didn't know quite what to make of it. In a recent expansion of that series they had a minor transwoman character in it. She didn't quite gel with me, perhaps because I was in denial, or perhaps it wasn't particularly well done, they gave her a slightly odd voice, as if they were highlighting the fact of her otherness. In summary, I think you've met another girly geek quite like you Chloe.

I'll be Veronica 😀 Although I know nothing about her having never played the game, I just think it's a pretty name 😝
I feel I have some catching up to do with regards to games! Looks like I may get my money's worth from Xbox game pass yet. Speaking of which - I discovered that elder scrolls online is on there, so there's no reason why I couldn't download it and start playing 🙂 Am I right that it's more similar to Skyrim than Fallout (as I believe all three are made by the same studio?)

It's very much like Skyrim it's set on the same continent just 100's years earlier. Veronica looks like the little kid, but she has been de-aged, so she should look like the young woman instead.

I will most likely enjoy it then 🙂 I have been co-opted in Warzone tonight, but might set it to download while I'm on there! She's quite cute 😊
