Our democracy is fucked in the UK. There's zero accountability. The government can get away with whatever they want so long as their party has a majority in parliament, which they do. They're a bunch of liars and a**holes but the vast majority of the press backs them because the newspapers' owners have a vested interest in keeping the Conservatives in power.

You can tell how bad it is - I believe this is the first instance of an uncensored swear word on this forum It's interesting (although also very worrying and sad) reading the history of their party. How it used to be the only party, and was comprised of land-owners and existed solely to represent the interests of those landowners. It basically existed to ensure that the landowners got everything how they wanted it at the expense of everyone else. It wasn't there to ensure the interests of the country, or "the people", it was essentially a glorified business consortium. And now we've gone full-circle and that's really what's happening again. I think it just seems so utterly incomprehensible that they would try something so audacious and so obvious that most people think it must be a lefty conspiracy. This thread has gone from "I had a dream" to "We live in a dystopian nightmare"

Unfortunately we are going the same way - possibly worse from recent events. Our government are currently passing legislation to be able to ban peaceful protests and also if I understand correctly making it so that any journalist who publishes evidence which "embarrasses the government" could face years worth of jail time. Very, VERY worrying Yes that is very worrying. But even more than that.....the frustrating thing to me is how many people strongly support this nonsense.

GAH! Page 3 is even worse!
Its gotten to the point where I don't even want to think about it. But that is the problem. Decent people need to stay vigilant and continue to be a part of it because the crazies aren't going anywhere.

I had a dream where I was completely female last night It's just a shame that I spent it being kidnapped by a serial killer, before escaping only to be eaten by a whale š„ I'm sure that is all quite psychologically telling lol!

I had a dream last night where my wife an I were chased by a stalker who was in love with her and jealous of me for not deserving her. He finally caught us in our house (but it was our old house at the last town we lived in.....but also not really even that because it had a basement and that house didn't have a basement) and he used a table saw to cut off my legs below the knee as revenge. The terror of that woke me up, but in the immediate aftermath after waking up I hallucinated that I saw a tarantula crawling on the ceiling. I immediately sprung from the bed and turned on the light and saw that it was all in my mind.
It was, quite frankly, terrifying.

Oh God that does sound terrifying! Are you ok now, or is it one of those dreams that kind of stays in your mind the next day?
I actually looked up what being eaten by a whale means in a dream and it was quite interesting. One site said it was "a metaphor for wanting to connect to an aspect of yourself". Another said it was a symbol for "positive gains, happiness and fullness in life"!

I hope that you can clear that from your head soon, and that it's a one-off for you.

Not much stress from it after the first 5 or so minutes after I woke up.

I have never had the post wake-up hallucination though. That was new.

I had another dream where I was a cis-woman last night. And it wasn't a nightmare this time which was nice lol. It was just confusing after when I woke up instead lol. Bearing in mind all my interests and attractions are towards women, in the dream some charming man took a fancy to me and was taking me out on dates and pampering me. By this time of day, mostly I just remember the facts of the dream, but the one part that I still remember vividly is the part which I think was at the end, where I was snuggling into him on a bench, and I just remember how safe I felt in that dream moment. So... that's a thing, lol.

The only thing I'd say to that is to be open to the idea. Try and see how the conscious Maria reacts to that scenario.
In my limited experience with this I have expressed a desire for a boyfriend whilst nearing climax, but it was definitely a woman that I wanted to peform that role. On similar occaisons in the past week I have apparently wanted to be filled with babies, but without a man in sight either on screen or in my mind's eye.
