Mascara is good (and easy) until you stab yourself in the eyeball with it lol! But if you do it carefully it's quite easy to get good results For easy things I'd also recommend an eyebrow pencil. Even just going over what you already have and just defining the shape slightly makes a BIG difference I find. Plus... it's a pencil, so no real learning curve on how to use it

Honestly, one of the reasons I haven't experimented much with makeup is the fear that I wont remove it well enough and people will see.

I was thinking that I wasn't that bothered about make-up but then I saw this post on Reddit Now I don't have a choice. This is something I will have to do at some point.

I was thinking that I wasn't that bothered about make-up but then I saw this post on Reddit Now I don't have a choice. This is something I will have to do at some point. Funnily enough, I got my first foundation today (Thank you self-service checkouts lol). Despite learning after that I'd applied it completely wrong, it definitely made a difference. A subtle, barely noticeable, and yet also somehow massive difference. Definitely recommend. As a relevant aside to a fellow Brit, I learned that Poundland have their own makeup range (that's where I went today). So rather than spending loads on everything when first starting, you can get each item for £1 - especially good whilst learning

How do I go to this Land of the Pound and take these wondrous items from the shelf, especially when Cis eyes are gazing upon me? How are you able to accomplish such a heroic deed?

How do I go to this Land of the Pound and take these wondrous items from the shelf, especially when Cis eyes are gazing upon me? How are you able to accomplish such a heroic deed? I remember days before Amazon lockers. Going to Target and snagging what I want. Looking around like some sort of spy before doing the deed. Burying it in my cart underneath a bunch of regular groceries. Praying to God the checkout person doesn't question me about it. I do not miss that.

My sister has taunted me today by putting an eyeliner pencil on our weekly grocery order. I'm buying make-up but not for me

My sister has taunted me today by putting an eyeliner pencil on our weekly grocery order. I'm buying make-up but not for me Could you "accidentally" put a second one into the basket? It seems less heroic when you consider that yesterday was actually the third attempt to get one from a Poundland. I was just lucky on this occasion that no one else was down that aisle so I could take a fraction longer to look. Also, I'd looked the item up on their website at home first to see exactly what it looked like so that I could kind of zone straight in to the things that looked like that when I was there. So rather than have to look through everything I could go, "This? No. This? No. This? Yes" grab and go. And then go through the self-service till rather than one staffed by a person.

The only trouble with that is that she'll just keep it for herself. The weekly orders gets more scrutiny than anything else in the house. My sister takes the delivery at the door and bags all the items. My nephew meticulously inspects the delivery receipt. It's the worst possible way for me to get any gender affiriming items. I didn't want an eyeliner pencil anyway. I need to do some research and see what I want to buy .
So you were more like a ninja than a proud warrior. Still don't think I could manage that though. I'll stick with Amazon Lockers for that I think.

Ohh ok, I misunderstood. I thought you meant like a shopping list of things for you to buy from the shop. Yeah, with how you describe it that would be a terrible idea and you definitely should not do that 😂
Yes, definitely more sneaky ninja than fearless warrior haha.

It's the order that's delivered to our house, so that's not an option. I think online will be the way to go with this. BTW - that eyeliner pencil my sister ordered wasn't delivered because it wasn't in stock. This only means that it will go on next week's order I'm sad about this and I don't even want eyeliner
