As I've mentioned I've been shopping some clothes and have received useful advice from you. I have appreciated your suggestion despite jokes that might suggest otherwise However I've found the whole process very deflating. I just want to buy some basic things to fill out my wardrobe, just something to lounge around in. However because I really don't want the clothes delivered to the house, I'm limited to what Amazon delivers to their lockers. Finding clothes I'd like to wear isn't a problem, but finding them in my size is. When I finally do find something that would fit, more often than not, they don't ****ing deliver to the lockers. This makes me have to go back and look again, disappointed that what I really wanted I can't have, and feeling that this shouldn't have to be so difficult for me. I know that wearing female attire most of the time I'm in my room would make me much happier, and shopping for clothes can be a fun experience too. However it is just so dispiriting to try get the clothes I want. I'm not looking to get anything so very out of the ordinary just everyday stuff. I could walk into town now and find what I wanted, except I can't of course. I would just be feeling the eyes of the world looking at me and thinking what a weirdo I was. TL;DR it sucks being a trans girl trying to buy new clothes for herself

I don't know if it would be a possibility, but could you order things from a department store as click and collect? Back when I used to live with my ex we would do that quite a lot as she didn't drive. So it would be me picking them up, and she would put my name on the order just to avoid any confusion when I picked them up (in case I had to show ID which wouldn't correspond to her name on the order). Either way though, yes it's rubbish I have bought an item in person once, and it was terrifying. Like "will I make it out the shop without suffering an aneurysm" kind of terrifying. But the shop was almost empty and I really liked that skirt so... my desire won out lol!

I had the same problem, difficult to have what we wants with the locker. Not a lot of choice for the bras. And especially shoes. I wanted ballerina and heels. I will buy through another website.

I'm thinking about how it was all packaged. Did you do that very often at the same store? That was very brave of you to do that, I don't think I'd ever be able to do that. It must have been quite the skirt!.

All the items were bundled up in that grey/black packaging stuff (as I recall) so that they were kept together, and of course that meant no one could see what was in there. I definitely got a few from our local Asda. I have a feeling I also got a couple from Next too, although I may be remembering incorrectly. It was a few years ago!

I figured that one or two items delivered to the house would be OK so long as they weren't obviously from a woman's only fashion line. I was frustrated at not being able to buy some 3/4 length leggings. I found these and have ordered them. I am pleased with the look and the price. The company is a general clothing store so felt that it would be fine White Capri Leggings

None of mine have anything like that, they're all function more than form I guess. Also maybe as all of mine are full length, so you wouldn't actually see the design on the bottom

I wanted something that was functional yet obviously feminine. I've just started buying female attire so want something very different to guy clothes. I'm sure after a while, that I might go more for function. however this is all just for wearing in my room, either being on my laptop or playing video games.

I put together a basket of clothes I'm going to buy. Will have to wait until next week though. Rockabilly V-Neck Top Off the shoulder blouse Black Flared Skirt Black LeggingsI ordered some underwear too, but I'm too shy to share today All this combined with what I already have will give me 2 pairs of leggings, a skirt, 2 tops and 2 dresses plus a selection of underwear. That should keep me going for a while. Once I have more money coming in I can look to get more. I'm thinking of at least one item a month, costing no more than around £25 / €30 / $35

I have also been frustrated by the limitations of locker. I have also done click and collect. Not sure if Target is big there, but I have done a lot of shopping at Target that way. Sometimes I feel like I get a knowing smile from the clerk there but that is probably in my head haha.

You and my wife have a similar sense of style.

I got the size just right, not too tight and not too loose. They feel nice and comfy, and very different to my male attire. The lace trim and the length really help with that. These are something I can really lounge around in. I can easily fit them under a pair of jeans or tracksuit bottoms for whenever I need to go to the kitchen or bathroom. Sandi-Mae

Ah that's brilliant Sandi Mae Glad you're finding them comfortable. It is very useful that they will fit under jeans - I've done that a few times to go get something from the car or to answer the door for a takeaway without having to completely change everything.
