If I could choose I'd probably go more down the path of what she's wearing than Tshirt and jeans. Although realistically it would depend what everyone else on stage was wearing and how they all worked together. Maria, you "just" convince the others to wear a style that matches what you want to wear. It's that "easy". I've never thought to ask before but what type of music does your band play? We're a covers band, and we play both venues and also functions (weddings, parties, etc). We do a bit of a mix, but all kind of centred around pop. The founding member's original idea for the band was for it to be a pop-punk band though, so everything largely ends up in that style (or our version of it). So we'll do some pop-punk (Greenday, Jimmy Eat World), some modern pop (Lady Gaga, Katy Perry), and some 80s pop (Madonna, Lionel Richie). We all come from different backgrounds though, so the songs all get tweaked to allow for that. Like our drummer has ridiculous amounts of energy (think those "drummer at the wrong gig" videos), so a lot of songs get sped up slightly and made a little more aggressive to cater to that. And I come from a background of instrumental rock/metal, so a lot of songs have solos added in where there wasn't one in the original. I'm also about 3/4 of the way through writing an instrumental album. Later on today I'll be playing some of those original tracks live for the first time ever, which is slightly nerve-wracking lol!

That sounds like quite the band you're in. It's good to have diverse musical backgrounds, you can create your own unique feel that way. Is it a traditional 4-member rock band, or a power trio, or something else? All the best with completing your album. That's such a challenging but rewarding task you've undertaken. Would love to hear any results you're willing to share. Good luck with the performance tonight!

That is so cool Maria. I am quite, quite, jealous. I am an athlete and a coach, but I have always wanted to be in a band and play music. I have cultivated no musical talent whatsoever, haha. But I love going to concerts and seeing the nuts and bolts of how it works. I help put on events at my job so it is cool to see all the logistics of it. What do they say....athletes want to be rock stars.

Here's some recent publicity photos of Irene of Red Velvet. I've posted pictures of her before, but her group is promoting a new album right now and there's too many new photos to ignore. She is the eldest and leader of the group. She takes care of the younger members of the group. Though generally appearing to be serene and polite, she has a mischievous sense of humour and likes to play pranks of her members. She is unusually fond of housework, and especially likes ironing clothes. She's handy with a bow and arrow too. All those attributes combined with her radiant beauty make her very much my favourite of the group. All of the other four members are very pretty and have their own charms and qualities, but despite that Irene remains my bias.

Lol "handy with a bow-and-arrow" is a bit out of place on that list but good for her!

One of the Korean TV channels hold Idol Olympics about twice a year. All the teams march into the venue, and they swear an oath too, just like the proper Olympics. Archery is one of the events as it's so popular there. Last year, Irene got a bullseye by hitting the tiny camera in the centre of the target.

OK, that is pretty badass! What kind of pranks does she play?

Her most famous prank was when was a host on a music show. One of the shows coincided with April Fool's Day, and she pretended to faint live on the show which completely fooled her co-host.

I had a look on here and the transformations are quite astounding.
I worry that I'll be too old to look all that great once I'm finished. Please can you all boost my confidence by telling me how pretty I'll look.

You already look pretty good in the pic you've sent so I have no doubt you'll pull it off.
Besides, I think you get some more leeway when you're a bit older anyway. A nice looking older lady gets a bit more room to work than a 20 year old who is supposed to look perfect haha.

Not sure which pic are you referring to. Would like to know which one you think I look pretty good in.
You make a good point regarding age, there is simply less or even no expectation. You're in the positive if you look even half decent. Also I think there is a difference as to women's and men's expectations regarding jow a woman looks too.

I've seen a lot of comments in various places too that all seem to agree that feminising HRT makes you look younger than you actually are in a lot of cases. So where you already look young, you'll probably end up getting IDed if you want to watch an 18 at the cinema In seriousness though, I have to agree that seeing as I think you could already pass with your figure being what it is, throw in a bit of HRT (if you go that route) and experience with how you carry yourself etc, and you will have no trouble at all! P.S. when I first wrote this out, my phone auto-corrected "feminising" to "demonising" š So I'm very glad I spotted that and changed it lol.

I agree with your main point. That's more or less what I think, that I am not too far off already. I surprise myself with such an opinion but it is how I feel.
I was going to mention this elsewhere but it ties in with what we're talking about. I think the fact parts of me are quite feminine actually unlocked part of my female psyche. It gave both my conscious and unconcious mind a bit of a push. For a year or so before I arrived here, I consciously thought how womanly I felt lying naked in bed just before falling asleep. I could squeeze my chest with the sides of my arms and form some sort of cleavage. Given what we all now know, I quite liked that feeling at the time. However still I didn't think to inquire further about my gender. I was still stuck in the mentality of "I can't be trans because ..." I think we both missed very obvious signs and that was another one for me.

I was referring to the most recent picture in the hoodie. But the ones you sent yesterday are even better!
I totally get what you mean about unlocking a part of your psyche. Its so fulfilling when you can see even a part of you that looks genuinely female. Totally agree!
