Now that you know my new name, I thought I'd share with you the other names on the shortlist. Though not as good as my final choice there were all far better than Davina. Though that's not saying very much The other names were Blossom, Daisy, Merry, Jenny and Maisie. These all matched my criteria - short and simple, friendly and approachable, and of British origin. All nice enough, but none as good as Sandi. None of those have any particular connection with who I am either. Sandi Mae

That's really interesting - thanks for sharing You definitely like the "ee" sound at the end of names, or is that just a big coincidence?

No, not a coincidence at all. I liked how that sound in Woori preceded Mei, so I was drawn to those names more when I was looking through all those lists. The "ee" sound at the end seems to make a name appear more friendly too.

Interesting, what made the last reason to choose Sandi, the list you made of explanation or the sound in your head and your will to be called Sandi by other people. Chloé is the name I want to be identify by others. I dream to be called Chloé in the street, at home, then it is me.💋

Firstly The sound and feel of the name appealed to me. It was a name I thought I would like to be called. After that I thought of the connection to my birth names which I liked, it felt more like a name that belonged to me. I looked for more names thinking that there could be other names I liked more. That's where those other names came from. Then came those two coincidences, and having made my decision I found all those extra connections too.

I think you picked a great one. I have always loved the name Jennifer/Jenny for sure. But I think you did it right.
